These are a selection of poems from past NaPoWriMos. Written in response to prompts or to particular forms without much thought or really any revision. If you are curious about the form a particular poem is in, please reach out.


These are poems written in a form called the sestina, which, incidentally, is my favorite form. These were written as challenges with a pre-determined set of end words (to understand what I mean, please see Poetry Foundation’s page on sestinas).

1, 2 “Noise” was selected as a finalist for the Robert Frost Foundation Poetry Prize (2021). “Perfumed Letters” was selected as a finalist for the Eagle Tribune’s Poetry Prize, run in conjunction with the Frost Foundation (2010).
